Why Hervey Bay?
Once again it’s that time of the year when the beautiful protected azure blue waters of Hervey Bay are inundated with Humpback Whales by the thousand. No, they don’t all visit us at once, but grace us with their company from around mid July to early November. The calm waters of Hervey Bay, being protected from the ocean by Fraser Island, provide a well earnt rest for these gentle giants from the migration lanes off the East Coast of Australia.

Hervey Bay is recognised as a leader among world whale-watching centres both for the natural phenomena of the whale encounters and the strict guidelines boats operate under. A diverse fleet
